The Galoots

The Galoots, a bluegrass-based act that incorporates rock, traditional country and blues.

The Galoots formed in 1993 and often played to sold out crowds in the Tri-state region of Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee.

Shannon Lawson on guitar and vocals, along with Larry Raley on bass and vocals, Steve Cooley on banjo, and mandolin and violin player Mike Schroeder.

The Galoots produced two independent albums of original material, “Ham Days” and “Record”.  In 2010, The Galoots began to play shows together again after a few years hiatus.

Currently, The Galoots are scheduled for more shows in 2011, with the re-printing of “Ham Days” and “Record”.  A new album is in the works.  The next show is April 1, 2011 at The 930 Listening Room in Louisville, KY.
